Ambleside village centre is just a 15 minute walk away, with its car parks, wide variety of shops, restaurants, churches, tea shops, pubs, a post office in the Information centre, and a cinema.
Spacious and elegantly furnished mostly with quality antique furniture, with over 2 m high ceilings through most of the property, this house is full of character and exposed original oak beams, with a patio and beautiful, multi terraced garden for barbeques or just relaxing. Panoramic views of Loughrigg and the Langdales.

If you like the ease and convenience of a bed and breakfast, but prefer the flexibility of self catering, Ambleside is the perfect holiday destination for you. With an enormous variety of quality cafes, restaurants and pubs, you can eat out every day if you wish, but there are also authentic butchers’ shops, green grocers, and bakeries for those who enjoy self catering. The area is wonderful for walking, rambling, etc with many visitor attractions within easy reach.
Ambleside nestles at the foot of Wansfell, just north of Lake Windermere. The nearest railway station is 4 miles away at Winderemere. Local buses run from there to Ambleside and connect to Hawkshead, Coniston and Grasmere.
There are many activities available for energetic souls, including fell walking, mountain biking, rock climbing and sailing. There is walking in this part of the Lake District to suit all levels, and even those looking for a gentler holiday will enjoy the many picturesque walks as well as the small galleries and museums of Ambleside and surrounding area. Trips on the lake are a ‘must.’
